A hybrid martial arts system combining Japanese ju jutsu, judo, and elements from Brazilian jiu jitsu, MMA, and kickboxing. Shihan Bill Wood runs the dojo with a focus on practical self-defense rather than competition, using scenario-based training and live practice on actual partners instead of drilling techniques in the air. Good for teens and adults looking for real-world self-defense skills. Classes start with conditioning and breathing exercises, then move into technique work that adapts based on your experience level. The school welcomes martial artists from other backgrounds and encourages visitors to try a class to get a feel for their approach.
