Over 2,000 acres of mesic flatwoods and wet prairie with hiking trails, multiuse paths for biking and horseback riding, plus observation platforms overlooking wetlands. The preserve spans both sides of Indiantown Road and connects to the Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River system. Great for families who want to spot wildlife like bobcats, owls, and ospreys while exploring different ecosystems. Kids can climb an observation tower, check out the fishing pier, or walk through the cypress dome when it's dried up. Open sunrise to sunset with two parking areas, though no restrooms on site.

Cypress Creek Natural Area Program
Class· Monday· VariableCypress Creek Natural Area offers kids a chance to get outside and explore real Florida wilderness with trails, wildlife, and natural habitats to discover. This is a Palm Beach County program run through their Environmental Resources Management department, so you know it's legit local environmental education. The program operates on Mondays, though pricing varies depending on what activities you choose. It's a great option if your family loves nature and wants to experience the actual ecosystems right here in our county rather than just reading about them in a classroom.
