A 25-acre natural area with two easy trails through rare xeric hammock ecosystem, featuring a paved Live Oak Trail and sandy Beautyberry Trail that lead to an observation platform overlooking a strand swamp. The shaded hardwood forest creates a peaceful escape right off Congress Avenue. Good for kids who enjoy nature walks and spotting wildlife like birds, butterflies, and lizards. The paved trail works well for strollers and the dirt trail offers more adventure. No restrooms on site, and parents should keep kids on marked paths due to poison ivy in surrounding areas.
