A 98-acre nature preserve with two observation towers overlooking scrub and wetland habitats where kids can spot gopher tortoises and wading birds. The preserve has a paved quarter-mile trail perfect for families plus a longer sandy trail through restored wetlands for kids ready to explore further. Great for families with kids of any age who enjoy nature walks and wildlife spotting. The paved Cottonweed Trail works well for strollers and younger kids, while the 1.5-mile Eastern Pondhawk Trail gives older kids more adventure. The observation towers have timeline displays about local history, and the preserve is free and open daily.
