A multi-use natural area with 22 miles of hiking trails, fishing from a covered pier, and camping options ranging from family sites to primitive backpacking spots. The expansive wilderness includes cypress domes, wet prairies, and pine flatwoods with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Great for families who want to explore nature together, with well-marked trails and easy parking at trailheads. Kids will love spotting alligators, turtles, and various birds throughout the different habitats. The area requires a Special Use License for most activities, so plan ahead by checking their website before your visit.
