About

A waterfront park on the Intracoastal with snorkeling access and fishing areas, Phil Foster Park has an underwater trail made from limestone boulders in 6-10 feet of water. The Blue Heron Bridge area draws families for its abundance of marine life including starfish, rays, and octopus. Great for kids who are comfortable swimmers since the snorkeling happens in open water with some current. The park has playgrounds for ages 2-5 and 5-12, plus a guarded swimming area for younger ones. Arrive early on weekends as the small parking lot fills up quickly with diving classes and snorkeling families.

I'd love to tell you more about the Shoreline Enhancement Program at Phil Foster Park, but honestly, the information I have is pretty limited—I can see it's designed for little ones ages 2 to 5 and that it runs on Sunday evenings for $10 a month, but the website doesn't spell out exactly what the kids actually do during the program. It sounds like it's connected to the park's conservation efforts along the shoreline, which is cool, but I'd definitely recommend calling Phil Foster Park directly or checking their Parks & Recreation page to get the real details on what your toddler would be experiencing and learning.

Phil Foster Park offers activities and programs perfect for your little ones ages 2 to 5, giving them a chance to explore and play in a beautiful waterfront setting. The program runs on Sunday evenings, so it's a great way to wind down your weekend together. At just $10 per month, it's an affordable option for families looking to get their young kids active and engaged outdoors. The park itself is gorgeous with beach access and plenty of open space, though heads up that the playground is currently closed while they build new facilities.
